The club was  established on 26th May 2006  with  19 active energetic & fully committed close friends. We friends frequently use to meet for casual talk and to pass time in KP Maskey’s office. There used to be many different types of talks from politics, national – international and some creative talks but never gave 2nd  thought to make it happen. Then we decided to make this creative ideas
happen rather than a mere empty talks.

For the same, we thought of organizing a meeting once in a month in some restaurant / hotel for exchanging views, ideas and how we could be a help to needy people .
That was the beginning of getting birth of club -50. The first get together was organized at Nirvana garden hotel in Thamel. We all friends liked it very much as it was very different than our usual talks.
It started with distributing a PC of paper full of agendas. And one by one we talked, discussed and looked into it through different aspects so that small small ideas with great depth could happen with our little efforts. This was kind of official meeting followed by drinks and dinner which was too interesting among friends for the evening. Each member contributed for their dinner. We choose coordinator for each evening who organized the evening. That became the rule now. We arranged some lucky drawer with a book, CD and free coupon for dinner as well in the beginning.

After the birth of this first get together we wanted to give very suitable appealing name to the club considering our age group, interest and motto. Many suitable names were forwarded  but later all found club-50 the most suitable name which met all categories of our ideas.

KP Maskey was then president  along with 3 other  members in portfolios. After the completion of his term Bhupendra Karky and Ramesh Leutel were the presidents of the club for the period from 2007/2008 and 2009/2010 respectively. Many creative, social works, health camp, recreation tours started happening during these period. Club members were increased to 42.

From  2011 Sarda Bhakta Ranjeet is elected  president with 9 executives members.
Club members has a big expectation from the newly elected members for many programs to be organized during their tenure.
